Two At A Time (Double Knit Blank)
Love the beauty of a hand dyed skein but not the imperfect pair? We are excited to bring back the dye technique that guarantees a perfect pair! Even better.... it also makes the perfect shawl.
A double knit blank is 2 strands of our beautiful 85/15 blend fingering weight yarn knit into a fabric and then gradient dyed. When your blank arrives in the post, settle in with a beverage of choice (wine is my recommendation) and wind 2 perfectly matched balls of yarn. This kind of frogging has never been more satisfying. I personally have no problem working from the ball but if the "kink" in the strand is not to your liking, re-skein, soak with a colour catcher such as 1cup of vinegar in cool water and then hang to dry with a small weight (I use my 1c glass measuring cup with handle) to dry. Then, let the magic begin.

85% Superwash Extra fine Merino (19.5 micron) 15% Nylon Yarn (4/16Nm)
The extra fine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durability.
The main factor determining the quality of merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres. We use extra fine merino (19.5 microns) which is some of the finest commercially available. This results in a super soft yarn that feels gentle against the skin.
One of our best sellers. This yarn is so versatile and can be used for any next to skin project (scarves, jumpers etc) as well as items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves.
