Three Months of Surprises (Part 4)
This is part 4 of 4 in the "Year of Surprises" for those who wish to subscribe in instalments. RavensWood is all about the "Stories of the String" and weekly I have been telling stories through our newsletter to include you in the studio as well as our wee farm. This year I am offering a new twist to the stories; a yarn club inspired by the surprises we live every day.

CANADIAN ORDERS: The middle of each month beginning October 2023 through December 2023, I will send you a skein of yarn in the weight that you have selected (fingering, DK or worsted) along with a copy of the story that inspired the colourway. The colours will be random based on the inspiration.
AMERICAN SUBSCRIPTIONS WILL BE SENT DECEMBER 2023 AND INCLUDE 3 SKEINS. THE CORRESPONDING STORIES REPRESENTING EACH SURPRISE SKEIN WILL BE EMAILED MONTHLY. WE CHOOSE THIS OPTION TO ACCOMMODATE THE RECENT INCREASES IN SHIPPING CHARGES ALLOWING OUR YARNS TO REMAIN AFFORDABLE.
Our merino based yarns are created using extra fine (19.5 micron) superwash fibres that are mulesing free. The animals are not harmed during the sheering process and in fact are pretty happy to give up their heavy coats.
The yarns feels soft and gentle against to the skin but is also strong and durable for good wearing properties. Its natural elasticity allows garments to stretch then return to their original shape. These yarns are worsted spun from long staple fibres to produce a yarn that is fine and strong with a silky feel.
Our 85/15 % Merino Nylon FIngering weight yarns measure approximately 400m (437yds) per 100g
Recommended Needle Size: 2.5 - 4mm needle
Gauge (stocking stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches on 3.25mm (US 3) needles
Recommended Crochet Hook Size: 2.25 - 3.5mm (US B1 - E4)
Suggested gauge: 21 to 32 crochet stitches over 10cm/4 inches

Our 100% Worsted weight yarns measure approximately 166m (181yds) per 100g
