19 stitches and 23 rows = 5 cm in stockinette
208 - 219 yards (190 - 200 m)
This is not a difficult pattern but is written with the expectation that you have some experience knitting in the round and cabling. The pattern can be adapted easily by adding or subtracting stitches in groups of 4 without affecting the cable work. These gauntlets were worked by dividing a 50g of fingering weight yarn, into two 25g portions and the length adjusted accordingly to use up all the yarn.
In order to show the cabling best, yarns that are light to medium in a tonal colour way work best. Dark and heavily patterned yarns will not show cables well.
PLEASE NOTE this is gauntlet, not a fingerless mitt. A thumb gusset/opening has not been designed into the pattern.
